Luke is a
Wildlife Cinematographer and documentary filmmaker , Photographer based in UK/SA.
Having worked on award winning shows for the BBC Natural History Unit, Netflix and National Geographic Channel. Luke embedded with the Natural History Unit and over the past two years has scoured the globe filming new compelling stories with advancements of technology by his side for the Latest BBC Landmark Series ft, David Attenborough - Planet Earth 3. Luke specialises in remote hide work, mountainous locations and capturing unique new animal behaviour from the air and land. He has also directed various human stories, Aiming to create compelling stories of our time and our world he’s no stranger to directing a short film and coming up with original concepts.
I specialise in a few main fields as a Cinematographer:
Drone Work: UK/SA Certified Pilot. 600+ Hours on location. Mavic 2/3. Inspire 2. FPV Drones. Experience with lighting scenes from and operation from Heavy-lift drones. AKA M600. (DJI FPV/Racer Drone owner)
Long Lens/Hide Work: Red, Arri, Sony - CN20 (50-1000mm) Infrared and low light systems experience. Remotely operated cameras and sliders. I have spent countless hours tracking and waiting for animals to show up barely breathing. Remote camera (I own Various hides and Camouflage gear)
Gimbal: Movi/Ronin, tracking animals and people in all sorts of terrain on foot and from various vehicle systems. Jimmy Jib and Predator Arm user - Also trained on GSS cinema mini 512 and Shot over M1 (Tilta Float/Ronin MX/RS2 Owner)
Alongside these main fields I am also confident with
Motion Controlled timelapse, Drone/Hyper lapses, Sliders. (Rhino Arc 2, Kessler Cinesliders)
Camera Traps and Various remote systems.
